90 Miles

The project's writing team includes L.A.’s Reinhard Denke and Marilee Albert. The written pilot and show bible are ready for a show runner. It is the story of the Cuban Revolution told from the perspective of the real Miami Herald’s first Latin American Editor - Chucha Barber’s father. The story begins with meeting Fidel Castro while he was a law student and follows the reporter’s personal experiences covering the Revolution, the Bay of Pigs Invasion, and the Cuban Missile Crisis.

This project began with a NO BUDGET effort to enter a short film contest to get traction and interest. The video posted is a primitive form of the project with the reporter’s grandson, Ryan Barber portraying the lead character.

Lauren’s Kids PSA

1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys will be sexually abused before they are 18.

The newest tools predators use to lure victims are digital devices.

Chucha Barber Productions is proud to have worked with the Lauren’s Kids Foundation to create documentaries, educational videos and public service announcements to educate and inform the public about the important work of the Foundation and the critical need to address the crisis.

Nuts

One of our all-time favorites for the Humane Society. We incorporated humor into the script for an impactful message about a serious topic.

Viva Florida

Telling the 500-year history of Florida in 22.5 minutes was a daunting task. We like to say we left a few things out. It did earn Emmy nominations and make our Secretary of State and Governor proud so we’ll go with that.
